The Salt 100

The Salt 100 is to publicize the launch of sales for Pro Fide’s premiere mission-product, Lepanto Fitness Bath Salt, a social enterprise benefiting Catholic life in Pakistan.

This is a 123 kilometer ultramarathon from the micronation of San Marino, over the famous Rubicon River to the city of Bologna (and the tomb of St. Dominic) along the route of the ancient Via Aemilia, run by Eamonn Clark, founder of Pro Fide, LLC.

The run starts at 12:00PM Rome time on August 17, 2026. It should last approximately 24 hours.

This is not Eamonn’s first big run… see the last one here (100 miles!), for a Catholic clinic in Malawi. While the distance is shorter, the heat will be intense – Italian August is infamous, and the valley around Bologna is a heat-sink. That means a lot of sodium – salt! – will be necessary to take in during the run.

Eamonn will communicate with supporters through a dedicated WhatsApp group, through which he can be tracked in real-time as he runs from San Marino to Bologna. You can click this link or scan the QR code below to request to join. If you have trouble joining, email profidellc@gmail.com and let us know.

To get a PERSONAL SHOUT OUT from the course during the run, USA supporters can purchase a pre-order of bath salt. Supporters outside the USA can make a donation to Pro Fide of at least $20 USD at this link. (USA supporters can also donate for a shout out instead of a pre-order.) The first $10 goes to help us with our company expenses, and the rest goes to our partnering beneficiary, the Dominican House of Studies in Karachi. (Note that the house/Order is NOT officially sponsoring the event or product.) The DHSK’s superior will be present in person for the run!

If you would like to make a larger gift offline, please contact us at profidellc@gmail.com

Please pre-order or donate today!

More information will be shared in the group chat closer to the race. Subscribe to the company mailing list to stay up to date on all our activities. See you inside!
